Stop deciding what to lift.

You open the app and today's session is already written — the movements, the weights, the reps. You do it, you log what actually happened, and tomorrow's session gets rewritten from those numbers before you close the tab. Short of target, it backs the weight off. Cleared it easy, it adds. That is the whole product, and it costs nothing.

No card, no trial clock. Barbell, dumbbell, bodyweight and cardio all log into the same program.

What changes in your week

The decision you stop making every single session.

The hard part of training alone is not the effort. It is walking in and having to decide what to do, then deciding whether last week was good enough to go heavier. Spotter makes both of those calls for you from your own logged numbers, and it makes them before you get there.

01 / MONDAY

The session is written before you arrive.

Pick a goal and tell it what you can get your hands on — a full gym, a pair of dumbbells, or nothing at all. It picks the movements from that, seeds a starting weight from your experience level, and shows you the sets and reps for today. You never open a blank spreadsheet.

Live · free
02 / AFTER THE SET

You type what happened. It does the maths.

Log the weight, the reps you got, and how hard the last set felt on a 1–10 scale. That is the whole input. Missed the rep target or the effort was maxed out, and the next prescription drops. Left reps in the tank, and it goes up a plate. It works the same way on bodyweight reps and on cardio minutes.

03 / THE HONEST BIT

What is not built.

No camera form-checking — there is no camera code in the app, so ignore anyone who says otherwise. No data export, so your log lives in the app and nowhere else. No coach matching: coaching is a separate product and there is no roster to match you to. We would rather you read that here than find it in week two.

Why this matters

A logbook remembers. A spotter decides.

A tracking app takes your numbers and hands them back to you as a chart. You are still the one who has to look at that chart and work out what to put on the bar. Spotter does that step and shows you the answer, not the homework.

// you"That last set felt brutal — RPE 9.5."
// app[set logged ]
// you"…so what do I do next time?"
// app[your weekly summary is ready]
// you"Only have dumbbells this week."
// app[silence — figure it out yourself]

Spotter answers the third question.

Rate the last set and the next prescription is already different. Tell it you are down to dumbbells this week and it swaps the movements for ones you can actually do with dumbbells, carrying your progress across. You can also swap a single movement you hate for another one that trains the same pattern.

You leave knowing what next session is. That is the thing training alone never gives you.

Why free stays free

We can afford $0 because of how it's built.

Plenty of free apps are free until the bill arrives. Here is the actual reason ours isn't a countdown.

$0
is what a free account costs us to run
The engine is arithmetic, not a language model. No AI call is made on a free account, so more free users doesn't mean a bigger bill.
1
feature actually sits behind the paywall
The AI Coach. Everything else — programming, logging, swaps, the progress chart — is on the free account.
50
AI Coach messages per calendar month on Pro
A hard cap, not a fair-use hint. Hit it and it stops until the month rolls over. We would rather cap it than pretend it's unlimited.

Your first week

From sign-up to a session that knows you.

Every step below is a thing the app does today. Nothing here is waiting on a release.

DAY 1 · 3 MINUTES

Answer four questions.

Goal, experience level, what equipment you have, pounds or kilos. That's the sign-up. Your program exists before the page finishes loading — there is no waiting list and no card field.

Live
DAY 1 · 2 MINUTES

Correct the starting weights.

It seeds your first numbers from your experience level, which means they will be wrong for you. Type over them once. That single edit is what stops week one being either pointless or ugly, and it's the only setup step that matters.

Live
DAY 2 ONWARD

Log, and watch it move.

Finish a session and the screen tells you what changed and why — which lifts went up, which came down, and any number that beat your previous best. By your third session the weights are yours, not the seed values.

Live

The human step: Steve reads the mail.

Spotter has no support desk and no ticket queue, and we are not going to dress one up for you. Email hello@bizbottech.com and Steve — who built this — reads it and writes back. If your program is doing something daft in week one, that is the fastest way to get it fixed, because the person answering is the person who can change the code.

Before you sign up

The awkward questions, answered first.

Free · no card · Pro is $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr if you ever want the AI Coach.

What's the catch on "free"?
There isn't a clock on it. The program engine is arithmetic running on our server, not a language model, so a free account costs us nothing per session — which is why we can leave it open instead of squeezing you at day 14. The one paid feature is the AI Coach at $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr. If you never want to ask a chatbot about your training, you never need to pay us.
"Adaptive" is a marketing word. What actually changes?
Three numbers, from your own log. If your last set missed the rep target or you rated the effort at the ceiling, the next prescription comes down. If you cleared it with reps to spare, it goes up — a plate on a barbell lift, a rep on a bodyweight lift, minutes on a cardio slot. It also tracks your best estimated one-rep max per movement and tells you when you beat it. Nothing more mystical than that, and you can see the arithmetic move after every session.
I don't have a gym. Is this actually usable?
Yes, and it's not a token bodyweight mode. Choose bodyweight and it programmes push-ups, dips, pull-ups, inverted rows, split squats, glute bridges, hollow holds and planks, progressing on reps and on held seconds rather than load. Cardio — walking, running, cycling — progresses on minutes. Change your equipment later and it rebuilds the program around what you've got now.
What happens to my data, and can I take it with me?
Straight answer: there is no export button yet. If you left today you would be copying your numbers out by hand, and you should weigh that before you put six months of training in here. What we can tell you is where it goes — into your account over HTTPS, never sold, and on a free account never sent to any AI model, because free accounts make zero AI calls. On Pro, the question you type into the AI Coach plus a one-line summary of your current targets goes to Anthropic to answer it. Nothing else does.
Is there a camera thing that checks my form?
No. Not in beta, not in limited release — there is no camera code in this app. It's on the roadmap and we've written none of it, so we can't honestly tell you what phone it would need or when it lands. If a page anywhere still implies otherwise, that page is wrong and we'd like to know about it.
Can I get a human coach through this?
Not today, and we'd rather say so than take your email for a list. Coaching is a separate product of ours called VitalCoach, coaches are still applying, and there is no matching flow between the two apps — nothing hands your Spotter history to a coach. If you're a coach who wants to be on that list, apply here and a human reads it.
Who am I trusting with this?
BizBot Technology LLC, a small company in Chula Vista, California, run by Steve. He built the engine that writes your sessions and he answers hello@bizbottech.com himself. We're new, we have no user numbers to wave at you, and there is no praise from anyone else on this page for a reason. Hold us to what the app does instead.

A rest timer, a plate calculator that also gives you the warm-up ramp, a one-rep-max estimator, and a warm-up generator. They run in the page, they don't ask for an email, and you can decide from those whether the rest is worth a sign-up.

Eventually, maybe

If you want a human in your corner.

An app can pick your weights. It cannot notice you've stopped showing up on Thursdays. That's a person's job, and it's a different product of ours called VitalCoach. Being straight about where that stands: coaches are applying, there is no roster to match you to yet, and no part of your Spotter log moves across on its own — you'd be starting a separate conversation. Look at it if you're curious; don't wait on it.
